My Friend, Kim Jiehyun (work in progress)

EXT. Outside Playground at a school
A young girl in 4th grade with big eyes with a dora the explorer short bob cut is playing with her friends.
She glances over to the dodgeball/nation area where a group of 4 guys are playing a 2 v 2 match.
She sees one of the boys get hit in the knee which is called, cheap.
The thrower then has to thrown again at the other person standing still.
The boy gets ready to throw the ball and the catcher who get cheapes is getting ready to catch.
Jiehyun fixes her gaze at the shortest of the boys, who is grinning and having a good time.

[EXT] Hallway to the locker bay
Kim Jiehyun is running late to her class. She has on a yellow checkered stripe flannel button up shirt with a cute belt and decently strong blue jeans on with white Etnies shoes.
She closes her locker and jogs heavily to her classroom.
As she passes the locker bay, she sees a boy with metal rods out of his leg. He is pushing on his wheelchair, a popular girl from school (think busty, cute face, long pretty dirty blonde with silver highlights)
He is grinning and having a good time.

INT. Classroom
There is a classroom with students.
The scene cuts to Kim Jiehyun and a short boy who are nearby seat partners.
[KIM JIEHYUN]
You know what I hate the most? Guys who do skinship.
[SHORT BOY]
What is skinship?
[KIM JIEHYUN]
When a guy tries to be too touchy with a girl.
The short boy goes next to Kim Jiehyun and places his head on her shoulders.
Kim Jiehyun shrieks but doesnt push the short boy away.
[SHORT BOY]
Hey aleezy… take a photo of me and jiehyun.
The short boy pulls out a smartphone from his pants. He hands it to his friend Aleezy and Aleezy snaps a photo of the short boy and kim jiehyun (the short boy has his arms wrapped around her shoulders with a peace sign on his other arm. Kim Jiehyun is doing the Snorlax eyes pose but doesnt have her arms wrapped around him.
The short boys takes his arm off around Kimjiehyun and looks at the photo that Aleezy took.
He is grinning and having a good time.
Kim Jiehyun who is fixing her gaze at short boy, lightly smiles herself.

INT. Home
The short boy enters his home. He drops off his backpack on the floor of the living room rouch and goes on the computer.
He checks facebook and sees that Kim Jiehyun uploaded new photos of her on the school dance team.
She is wearing something that can be considered that of a short dress which accentuates her natural b-cup titty frame and shows most of her lower half of the body from mid-thigh downward.
The short boy starts jacking off furiously to the pictures of Kim Jiehyun.

INT. Classroom
The same setting classroom is happening.
The camera zooms in or segways onto where Kimjiehyun and short boy is sitting at.
Kim Jiehyun looks nervously towards short boy. Short boy notices her looking his way, so he turns to look at her.
[KIM JIEHYUN]
Kevin… (short boy). Can I talk to you after the bell rings?
[KEVIN]
Sure.
A short montage of the classroom working hard on an assignment is happening.
Then the bell for the class period to end rings.
Kevin gets out of his seat and approaches Kim Jiehyun.
[KEVIN]
What did you want to talk about?
[KIM JIEHYUN]
Well… I been thinking about going to Sadies this year, and I wanted you to help me ask someone.
[KEVIN]
Oh… (Kevin looks disappointed but trying to hide that expression). Yeah I can help you with that. Who did you want to ask?
[KIM JIEHYUN]
Justin.

EXT. Outside school.
Kevin and his friend is walking out of school. His friend brought his guitar case and they are walking to someone’s house.
They arrive and knock on the door. Angela opens the door and answers.
She stands outside her front door. Bunch of her homegirls are inside giggling and having a ball.
Kevin’s friend whips out a guitar and his friend starts playing the chords to Jason Mraz’s , “I’m Yours”.
Kevin sings and obviously changes the lyrics so that it follows lyrics that ask her to Homecoming dance.
As Kevin is performing this, some people start to gather behind and show support.
Angela says Yes to him after the song ends. They hug. And Kevin and his friend leaves her house area.
Segway transition to…
[INT] Computer Room of the house
Kim Jiehyun gets a notification message from her friend. She checks on it on a computer in the computer room of the house.
message transribes as:
xaNNaBaNaNax: did you hear?!!! Kevin asked Angela to Homecoming!!! So cute… he even sang her a song hahaha. what you think???
As Kim Jiehyun read the message, she looked pissed the entire time. But then after about 7 seconds later after reading it all, Kimjiehyun gave a light smile to herself.
Kimjiehyun responds to her friend.
JulieCulie: idc girl… lol but happy for them. I’m going to txt Angela to congratulate her.
The scene connects to Kim Jiehyun pulling out her phone and texting Angela.
The camera cuts off before she writes any words in her texting.

INT. Living room with a tv that has 2 connected couches and a Nintendo Wii with Super Smash Bros. Brawl and 4 Gamecube controllers lying around and on the screen.
The front door opens. Arrives in a group of 5 boys around late high school age. Out of the 5, there is Kevin and Justin (the guy that Kevin helped Kimjiehyun ask to Sadies).
The boys sit on the couch and boot up the Wii.
One of them joke about how the sensor bar is so inaccurate (he is having a hard time selecting the game to play with the wii nunchuk)
The guys laugh and one of them jokes how there needs to be a Wii 2.
They load up Super Smash Bros Brawl and play 2 v 2 matches on Final Destination and other battlefield platform stages.
While playing, Kevin keeps losing to Justin’s team.
*Justin uses Lucas. Kevin uses Pitt. The other 2 guys use Wario and Pikachu.*
While playing, the older sister of one of the guys come out of her room. She leaves out through the front door.
Kevin gets nervous when this scene occurs.
The guys decide to play a king of the hill style of matches 1 v 1.
Film another montage of the guys just playing 1 v 1.
Kevin plays against Justin and loses. (Kevin uses Pokemon Trainer and Justin uses Lucas).

EXT. Outside of school
The final bell period rang and everyone is leaving school.
Kevin and his friends disperse and Kevin starts walking.
Kevin noticed Kimjiehyun walking so he decides to walk with her.
[KEVIN]
hey… want me to walk you home?
[KIM JIEHYUN]
Sure. Its not out of the way, right?
[KEVIN]
No… its on the way.
[KEVIN]
What you been up to?
[KIM JIEHYUN]
I been busy with dance.
[KEVIN]
Oohhh… nice~ Congrats on making the advanced team. Be grateful, lot of girls that wanted to didnt make it.
[KIM JIEHYUN]
Yeah. I know. By the way, congrats on asking Angela to Homecoming. Jjinjaro (지짜로) Kev… when I heard how you asked… my respect for you went up. like about this much from this. Kim Jiehyun does a gap between her arms about 6 inches apart after showing a finger gap apart inches gesture with one hand)
[KEVIN]
(Kevin grins) Ah thanks jiehyun. That means a lot to me. I was just scared Frank hyung was gonna beat me up for taking his sister to the dance.
[KIM JIEHYUN]
(Julie laughs) I heard he liked how you asked her and was cool with you going with her.
[KEVIN]
I was just happy Angela was down to go with me too. I was worried she might have wanted like a taller or more jalsenggyin (잘생긴) guy to take her or something.
[KIM JIEHYUN]
No Kev~~~ Don’t think like that. And you know, that’s what gives you your mehryuk (매력) you know? It makes you, you.
[KEVIN]
(Kevin looks and seems touched). Gomawuh (고마우) jiehyunah. Btw, why you being so nice to me? I’m so not used to this… (kev lets out a light laughter)
[KIM JIEHYUN]
Cause… what you did for Angela was sweet and thought you should know. And don’t expect me to be this way for too long. I know you’ll give me a reason to start hating again. (Jiehyun gives a light smirk as if she was pleased with herself for teasing Kevin).
The two eventually reach the front steps of Jiehyun’s place. Jiehyun heads in and Kev starts walking towards his own place, which is not too far off.

INT. Bedroom.
Kevin gets a text message from Jizzle (his friend).
Jizzle92: chun. ima be at your place by 7:30pm.
Kevin stares at the clock on his phone. Its about 7:15pm.
Kevin just lays on his bed for a little bit.
He heads out of his room and heads outside the house.

INT. Jizzle’s car.
Jizzle is driving Kevin and the other homie Sam.
Jizzle is planning to ask Angela to Prom.
Sam is planning to ask Melissa to Prom.
Kevin is planning to ask Kim Jiehyun to prom.
Kevin texts Kim Jiehyun
“can you come outside to talk? maybe for like 15 minutes?”
Kim Jiehyun responds with
“talk about what…”
Kevin responds with
“just… its easier to talk about in person so come out around 8pm.
Kim Jiehyun responds with
“okie”
Jizzle drops off Sam first. Then he drops off Kevin later.
Kevin approaches the front door steps of jiehyun’s place. She is already outside.
[KIM JIEHYUN]
Kevin… 지금 몇신지않아… its late. Scaring me with us talking.
[KEVIN]
Don’t worry… nothing scary or shady like that. I just um… wanted to ask if you wanted to go with me to Prom?
[KIM JIEHYUN]
Kevin… no. I’m sorry.
[KEVIN]
Ah… okay.
Kevin looks disappointed and is hurt. He doesnt try to pry or ask around why she doesnt want to go with Kevin to prom.
Jiehyun agrees to wait until Jizzle picks Kevin up.
They just make small talk.
Jizzle picks up Kevin. Sam is already inside.
Jizzle and Sam shared their dates agreed to go with them. Kevin had to break the news that he got rejected.

INT/EXT. Montage
Kevin attends a community college. Jiehyun attends a community college that is different from that of the one Kevin attends.
Film a montage of just school life for both of them.
Kevin attends classes. Does homework on his laptop. Watches porn and masturbates. Plays NBA 2k and Super Puzzle Fighter with his guy friends.
Jiehyun attends classes. She watches Korean variety shows at home. She plays with her cat. She also plays piano for the praise team at her english ministry at her church.
They both get accepted to letters of admission to UC San Diego. Both of them are happy when they read their acceptance letter.

INT. Kevin’s Room
Kevin enters his room and just lounges about. He goes on his laptop. He gets a notification from Jiehyun.
The message reads as:
Hey Kev… I heard you committed to going to UC San Diego too. Do you want to carpool and go to Orientation Day together?
Kevin is smiling. He responds to Jiehyun’s message.
Yeah… I’m glad you’re going there too. When is it again? Ill drive us there.
Kevin is upbeat and just in a good mood.

EXT. Outside Jiehyun’s Place
Kevin arrives in front of Jiehyun’s place. He is driving a Honda Civic.
Jiehyun comes out wearing a mid white dress and her hair down. She is wearing fancy zara flats that is in the color of silver.
They take a long drive to UC San Diego. (Film a montage scenary you would have to pass to get there and also just jiehyun and kevin making small talk)

INT. Jiehyun’s Dorm
Jiehyun hears her dorm bell ring. She opens the door. Kevin greets her with a pint of ice cream from the school convenience store.
She thanks him and welcomes him in. She puts the ice cream in the freezer.
Out comes a bunch of Jiehyun’s roomates and suitemates.
They are of white american descent.
Kevin hides it but he thinks they are attractive.
[BLONDE GIRL]
So… are you two going to the Welcoming Week Dance too?
[KEVIN]
Yeah we are…
[BLONDE GIRL 2]
Awww… its like you’re a couple
Jiehyun quickly interjects a snotty remark
[JIEHYUN]
Ewww… dont say that.
Kevin looks hurt when he hears Jiehyun say that.
The group of white blonde girls leave and then Kevin and Jiehyun head out too.
They start walking to the main outside field where the welcome dance is being held.
